Hi, and welcome to Clayspressions!

Recently I started making art out of clay. I started with polymer clay, but I didn’t enjoy the plasticity of it as much as I thought I would. Don’t get me wrong – there are a lot of positive’s about it, particularly if you are making jewelry, but I want something that actually looks and feels like more natural clay.
I don’t have a kiln, it’s just not in the budget, so that leaves me with air dry clay. I like the natural feel of Old Potters Premium Air Dry Clay, but I am currently planning on trying DAS air dry clay next, and see how that works, as it does seem to be a popular choice. I do ordered my clay online, as I don’t know anywhere near me that sells the stuff.
I am still learning the medium, but enjoying the process so much, I thought I’d share my creative journey with you. Fair warning, I make a lot of blunders. It just happens, and while sometimes discouraging, I also feel strongly that you can’t improve if you don’t fail massively. With that said, I must be quite on track to making some spectacular things down the line.
I hope you stay awhile, comment, share your experiences with clay if you have them, and just generally watch while I trial and error my way through learning air dry clay!
